I've been reading and rereading John Ashbery's Girls on the Run, which was inspired by the artwork of Henry Darger, an apparently nuts guy who worked as a janitor his whole life, all the while toiling away at a sort of never-ending graphic novel about little girls called the Vivians.

I fucking love Girls on the Run. For real. Here is a little piece of it:

"Dearest, we had waited for this star,
the marriage couldn't take place without it. A louse
drags its lonely way up to the end of a porcupine quill, expires,
and can we have heard anything? I mean the paced breathing just
outdoors,
and then inside, it's just squalid and quiet,
nothing more. I have a bowl of cherry syrup."

I have a bowl of cherry syrup? Who ends stanzas that way??? Ah bliss. I love it, truly.
To get to the point, I took this picture and processed it while thinking about all that and now I give it forth to you, world, just to see how many copyright toes I can step on with one entry.
