Alright.
It's the 15th of the month, and ends are not only not meeting, they're like three miles from each other. If you ever thought about wanting to buy ANYTHING from me, now is the time. You'll get a sweet deal.
Secondly, and also an important matter, I'm thinking of selling my soul or somehow otherwise procuring a loan for a better camera. The fashion thing was awesome, and I don't want to blame my own photographic shortcomings on my equipment, but with that said...
I really feel like I've reached the limitations of what my camera can do. At the fashion show, it became as clear as it's ever been. My camera's high ISO's aren't doing a damn thing for me. Picture turnover when I'm using flash is paiiiinfully slow. And (well, this does have something to do with the lens but) auto focus is often slow enough, I should just do it manual.
Conversely, instead of thinking of a new camera, maybe what I need to do is clean my damn sensor and get a wider lens. It's not gonna fix my flash issues or my ISO restlessness... but it's sure cheaper than a new Leica M8, which is $6,399.66 with tax. And hold the phone- that doesn't even include a lens. But maybe I don't need to go with a Leica. Maybe I should be thinking about a Canon or a Nikon upgrade. But... my heart's still with the Leica. I'd like to get the M8, and then my lil D80 could be my backup. It just seems silly to me that I'm trying to shoot professional events with a D80, you know?
I don't know, does anyone want to join me in fantasy land where these new cameras and lenses are all (hah!) possibilities and throw in their two cents?
Uh, please??
