Had my birthday over the weekend. Great success.
We met at my studio and people voted on where they wanted to go while we all drank a beer and ate a slice of cake. I had to cut the cake with a combination of plastic forks and paper plates folded in half because of course I didn't bring a knife. Or a bottle opener. Or extra chairs. Etc. But in the end, we got the job done. Then we marauded over to Anodyne, where I shot this picture which includes some guy I don't know who probably thought I was a pervert.
People who are ridiculously photogenic, while they make my photographic life easier, should be immediately shot through with facial muscle relaxers because sometimes I am jealous.
I was so happy to see him! Haven't seen him for like a ridiiiiiiiiiculously long span of time. He cut off his dreads and was looking very much like some sort of very trustable prophet seeing into our futures.
Thank God for Lindsay, as usual. I didn't notice she was licking her lip all siren-like until I was reviewing the pictures at home. I laughed and was happy about it.
At a later venue, they had an armless woman dancing around.
Some other photographer's flash blew out my exposure of this go go boy. I caught some other more properly exposed ones, but somehow I like this lesser file. Just the suggestion of him. Like photography watercolors.
On an open air roof where later dancing happened, they were projecting spirograph type wheels on the wall. I was all into it like a drunken e-head without actually being innebriated or on ecstasy.
