Instant Rules Again
For my birthday, Elaine gave me a Fuji Instax Superwide. I love it. I love it. I have forgotten how a good instant picture can break my heart and put it back together again. I'm still learning the camera. Fuji, I beseech you; you're making film regularly and stuff, NOW MAKE AN SLR. I will find nickels in my couch, I will wash people's windows, I will sell off iPods and stereos to afford it. Make me a camera that I can focus myself. Make me a camera with an on/off switch for the flash. Make me a camera that can do long exposures, even (dare I hope aloud) double exposures. I will sell my soul to be able to take instant pictures with that sort of control again.

This wheelbarrow lives at my parents' house. They've had it since I was small enough to think I could fill it with water in order to go swimming.

Went for a drink at Seasons for Saint Patrick's Day- discovered that Crown should never be drunk, ever, under any circumstances.

Linds and I after lunch in front of a very St. Paddy's appropriate mural. Trying to get all the green in and also us.

After that we went to this exhibit: http://www.cabq.gov/museum/featured.html
Even though the security guard accused us of touching the work (which we didn't)... it was so inspiring. I wanted to cry. They had thousands upon thousands of Waldrum's Polaroids displayed one after another after another. Low light to preserve the work. It was amazing. He underexposed as a rule, but perfectly. Absolutely inspiring.
The first picture I took and was like, "I'm in trouble because I love this and will become homeless buying film."

Young guy smoking in a cigarette-ad fashion. We saw him at the flea market.

Another guy we saw at the flea market.
